Are you leading your life or is your life leading you?
How do you transform change into opportunities? Leadership is a capacity inherent in each of us that we can choose to develop. Whether you are interested in personal or professional growth, your opportunity is to step into your leadership potential.
I bring together best practices of coaching and consulting to support you and your organization to learn, grow and thrive.
Meet Doug
For over 20 years I have worked as a coach, conflict engagement consultant, and storyteller fascinated by leadership and team-building opportunities in business, high-tech, health care, education and government.
I partner with leaders globally to make a difference through the work they do and the lives they lead. My whole-person approach supports leaders at all levels to face their challenges, gain insight and achieve goals with confidence.
What my clients say...
"Doug has been my leadership coach for the last 3 years. His coaching sessions are supportive and insightful. The sessions often lead to changes in how I show up as a leader and a person. Doug is a creative and fun coach who holds deep conversations lightly. He also facilitated several leadership team conversations, crucial conversations across functional teams which led to a positive relationship and better working results. I’d recommend Doug as a coach, leadership trainer, and facilitator."

"Doug is exactly what I was looking for in a coach. He took the time to understand and clarify my life and work goals, guided me through a process to identify potential solutions, and helped me to identify and answer fundamental issues that were blocking my progress. While it was hard work at times, Doug's optimism, empathy, and expertise helped me to come out on the other side with a clear plan that I've put into action, and I'm in a much better place as a result."

"I have found my coaching conversations with Doug to be insightful, inspiring and intellectually challenging. I appreciate the unique perspective he brings and the actionability of his advice and wise counsel."
Ade Franklin
Division Director, Transit Facilities

"Doug is an excellent trainer. When he taught Leading through Conflict to our employees, he demonstrated his ability to facilitate learning instead of just dishing out information. He knows his subject well and has the flexibility to adapt to changing audiences and circumstances. It was a pleasure partnering with him for this project and I hope to have many more opportunities to work with him."
Ginger Andersen
Talent and Development Director and HR Business Partner

"Doug is an out-of-the-box thinker who brings deep focus and curiosity to the coaching process. For me, this resulted in both a more expansive sense of opportunity and clarity regarding my choices."
Nina Orville

Abundant Efficiency
"Among some six coaches I’ve worked with, none has been more present, creative, adept, and effective than Doug. He has been masterful at guiding me to craft meaningful goals and breaking them down into digestible, achievable steps. His compassion has allowed me the room to focus on the challenges that burn brightest in each session, his attentive listening skills have kept him attuned to my squirrelly dodging, and his humor engages me and keeps me from dodging too long."
